Responsibilities
- Maintain public infrastructure including parks, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery for construction and maintenance projects
- Respond to emergency public service requests within specified timeframes
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal properties and facilities
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated service delivery
- Enforce municipal codes and safety regulations in assigned zones
- Document work activities and submit detailed progress reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Experience operating heavy machinery (bulldozers, excavators) preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure maintenance
