Role Overview
As a Senior IT Analyst, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design system architectures, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that serve the citizens of Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for state systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using modern technologies and coding standards.
- Lead code reviews, provide technical guidance to junior analysts, and mentor team members.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize projects, manage timelines, and ensure deliverables meet business goals.
- Identify system inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure all technical solutions comply with state security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Document system architecture, requirements, and technical documentation for future maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT analysis, system design, or software development.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Java, JavaScript, and .NET environments.
- Proven experience working in a government or large enterprise environment is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to obtain a State of Ohio background check and security clearance.
