Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and Resolve: Provide Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues to county employees in a fast-paced government environment.
- System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and security.
- User Assistance: Deliver exceptional customer service by training staff on new software applications and resolving technical inquiries efficiently.
- Hardware Management: Install, configure, and upgrade workstations, printers, and peripherals, ensuring all devices are fully functional.
- Security Compliance: Assist in maintaining data security protocols and performing regular system audits to protect sensitive county data.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of technical issues, resolutions, and system configurations for future reference.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred; High School Diploma with equivalent technical certification is acceptable.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration within a corporate or government setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical staff.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues under pressure.
