Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal network infrastructure and server environments.
- Implement and enforce robust data security protocols and compliance standards (e.g., FISMA).
- Provide technical support for state-level web applications and database management systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and user experience.
- Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and security patching.
- Document technical processes, create user guides, and assist in training government staff.
- Respond to IT incidents and resolve complex technical issues with minimal downtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT roles within the federal or state government sector.
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and cloud computing services.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with agile methodologies and government project management frameworks.
