Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and security analysis for federal systems.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to prevent cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and anomalies within the network.
- Manage user access controls and perform periodic security clearances.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain disaster recovery plans.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and ensure compliance with federal regulations (FISMA, NIST).
- Document security procedures and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
Qualifications
- Active Secret Security Clearance required (or ability to obtain).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security or network administration.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC.
- Strong knowledge of network security architecture and vulnerability assessment tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings.
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
