Responsibilities
- Maintain public parks, streets, and municipal facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, tractors, sweepers)
- Perform landscape maintenance and irrigation repairs
- Respond to emergency weather-related infrastructure issues
- Conduct routine safety inspections of public areas
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on city projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
- 1+ years of public works or maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in Texas climate
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems
