Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough field investigations of communicable disease outbreaks and public health emergencies
- Perform in-depth interviews with patients, contacts, and healthcare providers to establish transmission chains
- Collect and analyze epidemiological data to identify outbreak patterns and risk factors
- Develop and implement targeted intervention strategies including quarantine protocols and public notifications
- Collaborate with healthcare facilities, schools, and community organizations for coordinated response
- Document investigations comprehensively using state reporting systems and maintain accurate case files
- Provide public health education to at-risk populations and community stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Nursing, or related field (Master's preferred)
