Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with city codes and safety regulations
- Review engineering plans and blueprints for accuracy and feasibility
- Document violations and issue correction notices to contractors
- Coordinate with engineering teams and project stakeholders
- Conduct field inspections of public infrastructure projects
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain records
- Assist in resolving complex construction-related issues
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of construction inspection experience
- Valid California Inspector Certification (BICSI, ICC, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of municipal building codes and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and climb structures
- Valid California driver's license
