Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of municipal construction projects for code compliance
- Review engineering plans and specifications against regulatory standards
- Document findings and generate detailed inspection reports
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city officials
- Investigate citizen complaints related to infrastructure issues
- Ensure ADA compliance and safety protocols are maintained
- Manage project documentation and permit approvals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Texas Inspector License (TIL) or ability to obtain within 6 months
- 3+ years construction inspection experience
- OSHA 30-hour certification required
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and inspection software
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- U.S. citizenship required for government clearance
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and stand for extended periods
