Responsibilities
- Manage Federal IT Infrastructure: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of federal servers, networks, and hardware systems to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Implement Cybersecurity Protocols: Enforce strict federal security standards (FISMA) to protect sensitive data and prevent cyber threats.
- System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues affecting federal applications and user access.
- Compliance Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed reports on system performance, security audits, and compliance adherence to federal oversight bodies.
- Network Administration: Configure firewalls, VPNs, and secure data transmission channels for remote federal personnel.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure optimal performance of federal software and hardware solutions.
- User Support: Provide Tier-3 technical support and training to federal staff regarding new system implementations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Clearance: Current Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or working with classified information systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Cisco networking, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to brief senior officials on technical matters.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other relevant compliance laws.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of resolving critical system failures under pressure.
