Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the county’s regulatory compliance programs to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws.
- Conduct comprehensive internal audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in existing government processes.
- Prepare and submit detailed compliance reports to senior management and oversight bodies on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to implement corrective action plans and improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor legislative changes at the municipal level and advise leadership on potential impacts to current policies.
- Mentor junior staff members and conduct training sessions on regulatory standards and ethical government practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government compliance, auditing, or regulatory affairs.
- Strong working knowledge of Florida state government procedures and Miami-Dade county ordinances.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders and government officials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and government-specific case management software.
