Responsibilities
- Network Management: Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting of complex network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Cybersecurity: Implement and monitor advanced security protocols to protect sensitive government data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Cloud Migration: Lead initiatives to migrate legacy systems to secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure), ensuring seamless data transfer and minimal downtime.
- System Administration: Manage server environments, virtualization technologies, and operating systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Project Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver IT projects on time and within budget, acting as a technical lead for junior staff.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration, network engineering, or IT infrastructure management within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Certifications: Active certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, AWS Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Expert are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
