Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects within the state government framework.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state cybersecurity policies and data privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including policy makers and IT staff, to define system requirements.
- Maintain and optimize legacy systems while integrating modern cloud-based solutions.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for technical vulnerabilities.
- Prepare detailed reports and technical documentation for state auditors and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management or systems administration within a government or public sector organization.
- Proven expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Must be willing to undergo a background investigation and obtain a government security clearance.
