Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain complex Federal and State IT networks to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to comply with FISMA and DOD standards.
- Configure and troubleshoot servers, firewalls, and virtualization environments (VMware/Windows Server).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable IT solutions for government clients.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior system administrators.
- Document all system configurations and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: Active Top Secret/Secret Clearance required; CISSP, Security+, or GSEC preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration within a government or defense contractor environment.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and hybrid environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
