Responsibilities
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network infrastructure across state facilities.
- Provide technical support and remote assistance to government staff, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Manage and secure network access, ensuring compliance with state cybersecurity protocols and standards.
- Perform regular system updates, patch management, and hardware upgrades to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with management to identify technology needs and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Document technical procedures, issues, and resolutions in compliance with state record-keeping requirements.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a similar technical role.
- Valid State of Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to obtain required security clearances.
