Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of public roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including graders, excavators, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during extreme weather events
- Conduct safety inspections of public facilities and equipment
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Train junior staff on proper equipment operation and safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Texas Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license with clean record
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
