Responsibilities
- Investigate disease outbreaks and exposure incidents across Philadelphia
- Collect and analyze epidemiological data using GIS mapping tools
- Coordinate with hospitals, clinics, and community organizations
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols
- Conduct public education campaigns on health risks
- Prepare detailed reports for CDC and state health departments
- Manage confidential case records and sensitive health information
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in public health investigations
- Certified in Incident Command System (ICS) or willing to obtain
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Epi-Info or similar tools
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights/weekends during emergencies
- Experience with community outreach and stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of HIPAA and public health confidentiality laws
