Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects for compliance with city codes and safety standards
- Review engineering plans and specifications for accuracy and feasibility
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city officials to resolve issues
- Enforce compliance with OSHA, ADA, and environmental regulations
- Manage project documentation and permit processes
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in construction inspection or civil engineering
- Certification in construction inspection (ICC preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Indiana building codes and federal regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
