Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, trenching, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (bobcats, compactors) and hand tools safely
- Assist in road repair, drainage maintenance, and stormwater projects
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvements
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
- Respond to emergency public works calls during severe weather
Qualifications
- Valid Georgia driver's license required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic math skills for material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across metro Atlanta
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- No felony convictions (background check required)
