Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (dump trucks, sweepers) for waste collection and street maintenance
- Perform manual labor including pothole repair, storm drain clearing, and park upkeep
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols during all operations
- Complete daily equipment inspection and maintenance reports
- Respond to emergency service calls (floods, ice storms, debris removal)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Valid Tennessee driver's license (Class B or higher preferred)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge (heavy equipment maintenance)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
