Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city facilities, parks, and public areas
- Operate and maintain municipal equipment including trucks, mowers, and hand tools
- Assist with emergency response during weather events or public safety incidents
- Support community events and public space beautification initiatives
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Document work activities and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to achieve city objectives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
- Minimum 1 year experience in public works, maintenance, or related field
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- OSHA 10 certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
