Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city facilities, streets, and green spaces
- Operate light machinery and equipment safely (e.g., mowers, trimmers, snow removal)
- Assist with public event setup and logistical support
- Respond promptly to service requests and emergency situations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean record
- 1+ years of experience in maintenance, construction, or municipal services
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
