Responsibilities
- Maintain public parks, facilities, and transportation infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized municipal equipment
- Perform routine inspections and safety compliance checks
- Respond to emergency public works situations
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on city projects
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience operating heavy machinery (bulldozers, graders, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Colorado residency required within 30 days of hire
