Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city facilities, parks, and public spaces
- Operate specialized equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., trucks, machinery)
- Respond to emergency service calls during weather events or public safety incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety regulations
- Document work activities and maintain accurate service records
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents and business owners
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Class C driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 2 years experience in municipal maintenance or construction
- Certification in heavy equipment operation or similar (preferred)
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
