Responsibilities
- Process 911 emergency calls and prioritize response protocols
- Dispatch police units efficiently during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed logs and incident documentation
- Operate CAD systems and radio communications equipment
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during emergencies
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers in crisis
- Remain calm under extreme pressure during critical incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- US citizenship and valid Florida driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Clear speaking voice with strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows OS)
