Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on municipal roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy equipment (e.g., dump trucks, graders) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during extreme weather events
- Assist in park maintenance and public facility upkeep projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city environmental standards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated project execution
- Complete accurate documentation of work activities and materials used
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in extreme weather
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment operation skills
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Willingness to work rotating weekends and on-call shifts
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
