Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate light equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and compactors
- Assist in street repairs, drainage system maintenance, and park upkeep
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain clean work sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Document daily work activities and equipment usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or public works
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and safety equipment
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Strong work ethic and punctuality essential
- Spanish fluency preferred for community interaction
