Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repair, sewer systems, and park facilities
- Operate heavy equipment (excavators, dump trucks) under proper supervision
- Assist in construction projects including concrete pouring, asphalt laying, and grading
- Conduct daily safety inspections and maintain clean job sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Follow all OSHA and municipal safety protocols rigorously
- Document daily activities and submit progress reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction or public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic equipment operation skills (training provided)
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
