Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and concrete work
- Maintain public facilities, roads, and drainage systems
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and environmental standards
- Assist in emergency response during natural disasters
- Collaborate with engineers and construction teams on project execution
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and safety inspections
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C Driver's License (Class A/B preferred)
- Minimum 2 years construction/public works experience
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and survey equipment
- Clean background check and drug-free workplace compliance
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish highly desirable
