Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, baggage, and cargo using advanced detection equipment
- Maintain strict compliance with TSA protocols and federal security regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing security procedures with professionalism
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive trace detection systems
- Identify and report suspicious items or activities to supervisory personnel
- Document security incidents and screening activities accurately
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport staff during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a thorough background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TSA Security Screening badge
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting systems
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
