Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail & Packages: Sort and deliver mail and parcels to residential and business customers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a USPS vehicle to navigate assigned delivery routes efficiently.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, answer inquiries, and handle mail with care.
- Collection: Collect and process outgoing mail from collection boxes and customer mailboxes.
- Physical Stamina: Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Route Management: Ensure all stops on the route are completed according to USPS standards.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Citizen or National and at least 18 years of age.
- Driving Record: Valid state driver's license and a satisfactory driving record (MVR).
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal history background check and drug screening.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift packages up to 70 lbs and perform work in various weather conditions.
- Vision: Good vision (with or without correction) and ability to distinguish colors.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor.
