Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages along an assigned route in a safe, timely, and accurate manner, ensuring the customer's privacy.
- Collect and process outgoing mail, including Express Mail and Periodicals.
- Provide exceptional customer service and answer inquiries regarding delivery schedules.
- Sort and organize mail efficiently at the Post Office facility before and after the route.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure safety compliance.
- Adhere to all USPS safety regulations, traffic laws, and operational procedures.
- Handle mail with the utmost care and integrity, protecting the privacy of the public.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain one) with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs and walk/drive for long periods.
- Good vision (corrected if necessary) and physical stamina to perform the duties of the position.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and flexible to adjust to schedule changes.
