Responsibilities
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages according to address and route order.
- Deliver mail to residential and business customers on an established route in all weather conditions.
- Obtain proper signatures for certified and registered mail.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the public while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Maintain the safety and security of the postal vehicle and equipment.
- Adhere to all postal laws, regulations, and safety procedures at all times.
- Report any mail theft, loss, or damage immediately to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record (no major violations).
- Ability to pass a background investigation, including a criminal history check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs and walk for extended periods on various terrains.
- Good eyesight (corrected if necessary) and color vision to sort mail accurately.
