Responsibilities
- Sort and Distribute: Sort incoming mail and packages efficiently before delivery.
- Route Delivery: Deliver mail to residential and business customers along an established route with accuracy and timeliness.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service, handle customer inquiries, and resolve service issues professionally.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a delivery vehicle (if applicable) and perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
- Physical Stamina: Perform physical tasks including walking, standing, bending, and lifting packages weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to all USPS security protocols, including the inspection of mail and adherence to safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- License: Valid driver's license required (or the ability to obtain one).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and handle packages of varying weights and sizes.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check.
- Resilience: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and maintain a professional appearance.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and interpret maps and delivery data.
