Responsibilities
- Mail Delivery: Sort and deliver mail to homes and businesses along a prescribed route in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
- Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with customers, answer questions regarding mail delivery, and provide exceptional service.
- Physical Stamina: Lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the day, ensuring the safe transport of mail.
- Route Management: Maintain the assigned vehicle and equipment, ensuring it is clean and in good working order for the day's operations.
- Security: Account for all mail and parcels in your care, ensuring accountability and adherence to security protocols.
- Flexibility: Adapt to changing schedules, including early mornings and weekends, to meet service standards.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- License: Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and walk on various terrains (including hills and sidewalks).
- Residency: Must reside within the commuting distance of the assigned station.
