As a City Carrier, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of mail and packages to residential and business customers along an established route.
Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to customers along a specific route in all weather conditions.
- Sort and organize mail before and after delivery to ensure accuracy.
- Collect and process outgoing mail, including Express Mail and Priority Mail.
- Interact professionally with customers to answer questions and resolve issues.
- Maintain the physical condition of the delivery vehicle (if applicable) and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and postal laws to ensure the safe handling of mail.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift packages up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Good manual dexterity and the ability to operate a vehicle in various weather conditions.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Basic computer skills for logging delivery information.
