Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail: Sort and deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers on an established route in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.
- Collect Mail: Collect outgoing mail from roadside collection boxes and customer mailboxes.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer questions regarding postal services, and resolve complaints.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and proper operation of the vehicle assigned for delivery duties.
- Physical Stamina: Perform heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs), walking, and standing for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Route Management: Follow designated routes efficiently, ensuring all stops are completed within the allotted time frames.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 70 pounds; ability to stand for long periods and walk on various terrains.
- Driving Record: Must possess a valid driver’s license (some positions may not require a vehicle).
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read, write, and understand English.
