Responsibilities
- Sort and Distribute Mail: Efficiently sort incoming and outgoing mail and packages to ensure timely delivery to the correct destinations.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a USPS vehicle (car, van, or truck) to transport mail along established routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer inquiries, and resolve delivery issues with a focus on courtesy and efficiency.
- Physical Stamina: Perform physical tasks including lifting heavy bags, walking long distances, and standing for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Delivery Accuracy: Verify addresses and maintain accurate records of deliveries to ensure zero loss or misdelivery of mail.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety guidelines and OSHA regulations while performing all job duties.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen or currently possess a Permanent Resident Card.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal history background check and drug screening.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift packages up to 70 pounds and perform strenuous physical activity daily.
- Driving Record: A valid driver's license is required, and a clean driving record is preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and write clearly in English.
