Responsibilities
- Sort and process incoming and outgoing mail efficiently and accurately.
- Deliver mail to residential and business addresses along established routes in New Orleans.
- Obtain required signatures and notify customers of undeliverable mail.
- Handle packages with care and ensure they are placed in a secure location.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the public while adhering to safety regulations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the mail vehicle.
- Perform occasional lifting of heavy parcels and walking on various terrains.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the United States.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 pounds repeatedly.
- Physical stamina required to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
