Responsibilities
- Sort and process incoming and outgoing mail efficiently to ensure timely delivery.
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business addresses along designated routes in Sacramento.
- Operate postal vehicles, including trucks and jeeps, in various weather conditions.
- Handle packages of varying weights (up to 70 lbs) with care and accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle inquiries professionally.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and postal policies while on duty.
- Perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national and pass a background check.
- Possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, early mornings, and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to navigate local Sacramento streets and neighborhoods.
