Responsibilities
- Sort, process, and deliver mail and packages efficiently to addresses throughout Washington, DC.
- Interact professionally with customers to answer inquiries and resolve issues regarding mail delivery.
- Load, unload, and organize mail on delivery vehicles; maintain accurate records of mail status.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting heavy parcels, walking long distances, and operating delivery vehicles.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and security regulations while on duty.
- Update delivery information in automated systems to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications
- Must be a United States Citizen or hold a valid Permanent Resident Card.
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug test and background investigation.
- Physical ability to lift packages up to 70 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods (8+ hours).
- Valid Driver's License (Class C) with a safe driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to use handheld scanners.
