Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to veteran patients in acute and ambulatory settings
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Administer medications and treatments with precision and patient-centered focus
- Document clinical outcomes accurately in the electronic health record system
- Lead patient education initiatives on health management and disease prevention
- Maintain strict compliance with VA healthcare regulations and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of California
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- VHA experience and/or certification in specialty area preferred
- Strong knowledge of electronic health record systems (Cerner experience a plus)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
