Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient appointments and healthcare services across multiple VA facilities
- Maintain accurate electronic health records in VistE and CPRS systems
- Process medical billing and insurance claims with 99% accuracy
- Provide exceptional patient support via phone, email, and in-person inquiries
- Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize patient care workflows
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and VA privacy regulations
- Train new staff on VA medical support protocols
Qualifications
- Associate degree in healthcare administration or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in medical office coordination
- Proficiency in VistE/CPRS systems and VA-specific software
- VA Form 10-2850c application (current and complete)
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Knowledge of TRICARE and federal healthcare programs
- Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) preferred
