Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to veteran patients with complex medical needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans
- Perform advanced clinical procedures including suturing, wound care, and minor surgeries
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems for accurate documentation
- Participate in research initiatives and quality improvement projects
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to VA healthcare innovation
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Florida
- Master's degree in Nursing with specialization in Adult/Gerontology
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in primary care
- VA certification within 60 days of hire
- DEA certification for controlled substance prescribing
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
