Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veteran benefit claims with 98% accuracy
- Conduct comprehensive eligibility assessments for VA healthcare and compensation programs
- Coordinate with medical staff and veterans to gather supporting documentation
- Maintain secure case files and ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Provide direct assistance to veterans navigating benefit appeals processes
- Collaborate with regional VA offices to resolve complex case issues
- Generate monthly performance reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in veterans services or federal benefits administration
- VA Form 10-2850c (Application for Associated Health Care Positions) required
- Proficiency in VA systems (VBMS, VBA, VISTA)
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Certified Veterans Service Officer (CVSO) designation preferred
- Experience with veterans with PTSD or service-connected disabilities
