Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to veteran patients in acute care settings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Administer medications and therapeutic interventions with precision
- Document patient encounters using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention
- Maintain strict compliance with VA healthcare protocols and regulations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of California
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- VA experience or familiarity with federal healthcare systems preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in electronic health record documentation
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- U.S. citizenship required
