Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' disability compensation claims with accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct interviews and gather medical evidence to support benefit applications
- Represent veterans in appeals before the Board of Veterans' Appeals
- Provide guidance on VA benefits programs and eligibility requirements
- Maintain detailed case records and documentation in compliance with federal regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and legal professionals to build comprehensive cases
- Conduct outreach to underserved veteran communities in the Louisiana region
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Strong analytical skills for complex case evaluation
- Experience with federal regulations (38 CFR) preferred
- Proficiency in VA claims processing systems (VBMS, VBA) or similar platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and empathy
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
