Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' disability compensation claims with precision and empathy
- Provide comprehensive benefits counseling to veterans and dependents
- Conduct eligibility determinations for VA healthcare and financial assistance programs
- Maintain accurate case records in VA's electronic systems (VBMS, VBA)
- Collaborate with medical professionals and legal advisors on complex cases
- Represent VA at community outreach events to educate veterans on available resources
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Minimum 2 years experience in benefits administration or customer service
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and case management software
- Knowledge of VA regulations and federal benefits programs preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Valid Florida driver's license (for occasional travel to outreach events)
