Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce institutional regulations during weekend shifts
- Conduct regular perimeter security checks and headcounts
- Respond to emergency situations with de-escalation and restraint techniques
- Prepare detailed incident reports and security documentation
- Coordinate with weekend medical and counseling staff for inmate welfare
- Operate security systems including CCTV and access control panels
- Maintain chain of custody for evidence and contraband
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Minimum 21 years of age with high school diploma or GED
- Basic Correctional Officer Training (BCOT) certification preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Physical fitness to meet federal correctional standards
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or military service preferred
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis management skills
