Responsibilities
- Provide in-person citizen assistance with permits, licenses, and municipal services during weekend hours (Sat-Sun 8am-4pm)
- Process digital and paper applications with precision and adherence to city regulations
- Coordinate with emergency services and weekend municipal operations teams
- Document service interactions using city CRM systems and maintain accurate records
- Conduct public outreach at community events during assigned weekend shifts
- Resolve citizen inquiries regarding weekend-specific municipal services
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public sector or customer service roles
- Proficiency with municipal software systems (e.g., Boston Permits Portal)
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of Boston municipal processes and regulations
- Ability to lift 25 lbs for occasional document handling
